Taken from Psalm 141, the prayer of David in the cave, this verse relates how David cried to the Lord for help, knowing that the Lord is his refuge and sustains him.

I cried to thee, O Lord:
I said: Thou art my hope, my portion in the land of the living.
(Psalm 141:6)

In the Biblia Sacra Vulgata, this text is rendered:

Dominē, tū es spēs mea. (Psalmi 141:6)
O Lord, you are my help.

Can you identify the Latin words in this short verse?
Hint: spēs is the origin of the English word speculate, meaning to make guesses based on hope, with little evidence.
